SMARTFIT BY TOOLMITRAA

Direction-Aware Cycling Route Builder for Roads, Trails and Loops

SmartFIT routes between multiple points on roads and trails, preserves dense GPX geometry and can offset outbound and return travel to opposite physical sides instead of drawing both directions on the same centerline.

Outbound and return routes should not be identical GPS lines

Routing services commonly return road centerlines. SmartFIT applies a direction-aware lateral position using travel direction and the country traffic side, so a return leg can appear on the opposite side of the road.

  • Automatic left-hand versus right-hand traffic
  • Direction-aware road-edge positioning
  • Cycleway, path, street and surface information
  • Multiple shaping points, loops and repeated laps
  • Exact GPX track import without straight-line simplification

No silent straight-line fallback

If road routing fails or returns geometry that is too sparse to be credible, SmartFIT reports the geometry problem instead of silently replacing a real road route with a straight chord between waypoints.

Frequently asked questions

Why can an out-and-back route overlap?

Most routing engines represent a road with a single centerline. SmartFIT adds a travel-side layer so opposite directions can be displayed and generated separately.

Can I use my exact recorded GPX?

Yes. The Smart Route Builder can load the GPX track points directly and preserve track-segment boundaries.
